Account Information: We collect your name and email address via Google and Apple Sign-In solely for secure authentication and state-syncing purposes.
Camera & AI Analysis: To identify historical landmarks, we access your device camera. Photos are processed in real-time by AI to determine architectural features. Note: We do NOT perform facial recognition, iris scanning, or any form of biometric identification. In accordance with 2026 privacy laws, we minimize data collection to the absolute necessity for landmark identification.
Proximity Detection: With your permission, we collect your location to find nearby historical sites. This is used for "Proximity Discovery" and not for continuous real-time movement tracking.
Landmark identification is powered by Google Gemini AI. In compliance with 2026 transparency standards:
We implement a "Data Minimization" philosophy. We retain your personal data only as long as your account is active. Non-identifiable metadata about landmarks discovered may be retained to improve historical records for all users.
You have the full right to be forgotten. You can delete your account and all associated data instantly through the "Settings" menu in the App or by contacting us at hello@vestigia-ai.com. Deletion requests are processed effectively within 30 days.
